Sink into island life at magical Moringa, a private villa sleeping up to ten people tucked away in the hills above Friendship Bay, with 180 degree views of the Grenadines chain. Carefully designed for soaking up those sweeping sea views, Moringa sings Caribbean charm and barefoot island style.

The property has dedicated staff who will ensure you are well taken care off during your stay – looking after everything from the house, pool and garden, to cooking and serving up delicious meals and rum punch.

Three of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor, each with ensuite shower rooms and a separate single child’s bed that can be set up for any little ones on request. There are two further bedrooms downstairs on the lower ground floor, with equally spectacular views as those above. Two of the bedrooms can be made into twins on request.

It’s hard to put into words the infectious, laid-back vibes of this cool little Caribbean island spanning just 7 miles. Refreshingly off the beaten track compared to some of the larger islands with a population of just 5,000 people, Bequia feels like a whole world waiting to be discovered – simple and unspoilt. The nearby, colourful Port Elizabeth is Bequia’s beating heart. Expect plenty of near-deserted beaches and friendly locals where everyone knows everyone.

Easier to get to than most people think, discover how to to get to Bequia and the best time to travel below.

Either, 1) fly direct into St. Vincent (SVD), then take the one hour ferry crossing into beautiful Bequia (BQU), or 2) fly direct from Barbados (BGI) or St. Lucia (UVF) to Bequia (BQU) with Bequia Air or Mustique Airways (same-day connections available, so you can get all your travelling done in one go).

Bequia’s peak season runs from around mid-December to late April. The Caribbean’s official hurricane season runs from late June to early November, however due to Bequia’s southern position it usually remains untouched or minimally impacted.
