OVERVIEW

Sink into island life at magical Moringa, a private villa sleeping up to ten people tucked away in the hills above Friendship Bay, with 180 degree views of the Grenadines chain. Carefully designed for soaking up those sweeping sea views, Moringa sings Caribbean charm and barefoot island style.

The property has dedicated staff who will ensure you are well taken care off during your stay – looking after everything from the house, pool and garden, to cooking and serving up delicious meals and rum punch.

THE BEDROOMS

This villa has five double bedrooms sleeping up to ten people. Three of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor, each with ensuite shower rooms and a separate single child’s bed that can be set up for any little ones on request. There are two further bedrooms downstairs on the lower ground floor, with equally spectacular views as those above. Two of the bedrooms can be made into twins on request. 

ENTERTAINING AREAS & FACILITIES

Moringa is split across two levels. You’ll find the central entertaining areas on the ground floor. Expect a spacious living and dining space with a vaulted ceiling that open onto a large terrace. On this floor you’ll also find a separate kitchen, a media room, guest loo and cloakroom. Downstairs, you’ll find an enormous games room with a second open-plan sitting room, kitchen and dining space including a kitchen island. With several different dining set ups to choose from at Moringa, this is a great villa for a large groups who don’t want to feel on top of each other.

With an infinity pool and expansive terraces including a kitchenette, plus a handful of outdoor dining set ups all cocooned by sweeping sea views and lush gardens, the outside space at Moringa feels like your very own Caribbean paradise. Decked out with colourful mural backdrops, hammocks and comfortable sun loungers, this is somewhere you can really switch off and ease into that slower paced island life. There’s also a loo and an outdoor shower.

LOCAL INFORMATION

It’s hard to put into words the infectious, laid-back vibes of this cool little Caribbean island spanning just 7 miles. Refreshingly off the beaten track compared to some of the larger islands with a population of just 5,000 people, Bequia feels like a whole world waiting to be discovered – simple and unspoilt. The nearby, colourful Port Elizabeth is Bequia’s beating heart. Expect plenty of near-deserted beaches and friendly locals where everyone knows everyone. 

TRAVEL INFORMATION

AIRPORT INFORMATION

Either, 1) fly direct into St. Vincent (SVD), then take the one hour ferry crossing into beautiful Bequia (BQU), or 2) fly direct from Barbados (BGI) or St. Lucia (UVF) to Bequia (BQU) with Bequia Air or Mustique Airways (same-day connections available, so you can get all your travelling done in one go).

WHEN TO VISIT

Bequia’s peak season runs from around mid-December to late April. The Caribbean’s official hurricane season runs from late June to early November, however due to Bequia’s southern position it usually remains untouched or minimally impacted.
