OVERVIEW

Perched high above the sea, complete with eye-watering views and an enviable breeze, Essence is a spectacular villa. Four of the six bedrooms have direct poolside access, and the villa offers guests a truly elevated home-from-home experience with a dedicated TV room, fully air-conditioned gym, and even a private wine room. Essence features high-quality furnishings, textured finishes, and curated artwork inspired by the owner’s South African heritage, while the stone construction blends seamlessly with the surrounding Greek countryside.

Please note, due to the pools’ proximity to the villa, Essence is not suitable for toddlers and younger children.

THE BEDROOMS

Essence sleeps 12 guests in six beautifully appointed bedrooms. Four have direct poolside access, and the master suite offers extra indulgence with a private outdoor bath and its own staircase leading directly into the pool. Every room is fitted with built-in air conditioning – perfect for the hottest summer months – and kitted out with top-tier linens, mattresses, and bedding.

Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and has a Super King bed and en-suite bathroom, with a private staircase to the pool.

Bedrooms 2, 3 & 4 are on the ground floor and have Super King beds and en-suite shower rooms, with direct poolside access.

Bedrooms 5 & 6 are on the lower-ground floor and have Super King beds and en-suite shower rooms.

ENTERTAINING AREAS & FACILITIES

The kitchen is surrounded by sliding glass doors that open up the space to effortlessly meld indoor and outdoor living. A few steps away, there is a spacious, covered dining area and gas BBQ, perfectly positioned for evening feasts and entertaining under the stars. Guests can enjoy movie night in the private cinema room, stay on top of their fitness regime in the air-conditioned gym, and sample some delights from the wine cellar.

THE POOL & OUTDOOR AREAS

There are two beautiful pools at Essence, one of which is one of the largest on Zakynthos. A sunken seating area and hot tub offer additional spots for relaxation, while those keen to work on their tan can set up camp on one of the many comfortable sun loungers or day beds surrounding the pool.

LOCAL INFORMATION

With copious amounts of nature and endless blue seas to take your breath away, Zakynthos is a true summer escape. AIRPORT INFORMATION

The airport code for Zakynthos is ZTH and is around a 45-minute – 1 hour drive from all of our villas.

FROM THE UK

There are direct flights from a large number of airports including London, Bristol, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester, Cardiff, and Edinburgh. Skyscanner is a great place to look at availability from all of these locations.

FROM OTHER EUROPEAN CITIES

Zakynthos is just an hour’s flight from Athens. There are direct flights to Athens from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland and plenty more European destinations.

INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS

Guests venturing from further afield have a little extra travelling to do but it’s still feasible to get to Zakynthos from anywhere in the world. Guests travelling from the USA can hop on a number of direct flights to Europe from either Las Vegas, New York, Chicago, Orlando, Seattle, or Washington. There are also flights to Europe from major cities in Canada and South America.

International flights to Europe from the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand are also frequent. The best port of call is to find a direct flight to London or Athens, and take a direct flight to Zakynthos.

FROM NEARBY ISLANDS

For those who are hopping between the Greek islands, ferries from neighbouring island Kefalonia regularly arrive at the nearby port of Agios Nikolaos which is no more than a 15-minute drive to the majority of our villas. Our Concierge service can arrange for your hire car to be picked up there.
